LGBTQ+ Affirming Care

A space where every part of you is welcome. Not tolerated, not accommodated. Welcome.
Couple Among Tulips

You deserve more than a therapist who is "okay" with who you are.

There's a difference between a therapist who is accepting and a therapist who is affirming. Acceptance means they won't judge you. Affirmation means they understand your experience, honor your identity, and actively support your right to exist fully and freely.

I am an affirming therapist. That means your identity is not a clinical issue to be navigated. It's a fundamental part of who you are, and it is welcomed here without question, qualification, or hesitation.

Whether you're navigating coming out, exploring your gender identity, processing the impact of discrimination or family rejection, working through internalized shame, or simply looking for a therapist who gets it, you're in the right place.
All identities are welcome here. No exceptions.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with:

  • LGBTQ+ individuals across all identities and experiences

  • Trans and gender expansive individuals, including those exploring, transitioning, or living fully in their identity

  • Queer people navigating relationships, family dynamics, and community

  • People processing internalized homophobia, transphobia, or shame

  • Individuals who have experienced discrimination, rejection, or trauma related to their identity

  • Adults in alternative relationship structures including polyamory and ethical non-monogamy

  • Parents and family members of LGBTQ+ loved ones who are seeking to understand and support

  • Parents of trans and non-binary youth

Gender Affirming Care

I provide gender affirming care that centers your own sense of self, timeline, and goals. This may include:

  • Supportive therapy for trans and non-binary individuals at any stage of their journey

  • Letters of support for gender-affirming medical care

  • Support navigating family, workplace, and social transitions

  • Grief and identity work related to gender exploration and reclamation

I approach all gender affirming work from a place of trust. You are the expert on your own experience.

Holding space in hard times

I recognize that for many LGBTQ+ individuals, and especially trans people, the current political and social climate is not just stressful. It is threatening. The anxiety, grief, anger, and exhaustion that come with fighting for your right to exist are real and valid.

Therapy is not a substitute for the rights and protections everyone deserves. But it can be a place to process, to breathe, to reconnect with your own strength and resilience, and to remember that you are not alone.

I am committed to showing up as a consistent, affirming presence, regardless of what is happening in the world outside the therapy room.

Affirming care, wherever you are

I offer telehealth across Florida, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. For LGBTQ+ individuals in smaller communities or areas where affirming therapists are difficult to find, telehealth removes a significant barrier to care. You can access affirming, holistic therapy from a private, comfortable space of your choosing. In-person sessions are also available in a safe office environment in the southern area of Sarasota County, FL.

Pride Parade Celebration

You deserve a therapist who sees and celebrates all of you.

Start with a free 20-30 minute consultation, a conversation about what you're looking for and whether we're a good fit.
